coinmenotScrap jewelry calculator
When you press “Calculate value”, we save what you entered (metal, purity, weight, and any offer you add), the result, the spot prices at that moment, and the time.
We also save your location. By default this is an approximate city, region and country worked out from your internet connection by BigDataCloud. If your browser asks to share your location and you allow it, we save your device's coordinates and the matching city instead. You can say no and the calculator still works. We also record your IP address and browser type to prevent abuse.
We use this to understand where our visitors are and to show anonymized recent offers. The public offers table only ever shows a city and region, never coordinates, IP addresses or contact details.
Email sign-up
If you unlock the full offers list, we save your email address, optional phone number and approximate location, and send you occasional emails. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Shopping
Your cart is stored in your own browser until you check out. Orders, accounts and payments are handled by our WooCommerce checkout at cms.coinmenot.com.
